Yoga Nidra is a Tantric Yoga practice. It translates to conscious sleep. It is a practice that helps to encourage a state of deep relaxation yielding rejuvenation and renewal of mind, body and spirit. It creates a space for the practitioner to be in flow with their natural state of self and allows for the Self to be met and understood with greater awareness. Yoga Nidra quiets the central nervous system allowing for more presence in life, relationships, and self. Swami Satyananda Saraswati says that one hour of yoga Nidra is equivalent to 4 hours of natural sleep. Some benefits of Yoga Nidra are:
